Kia KOUP Concept 2008 posters

Kia KOUP Concept

With a sleek, sporty design and youthful exuberance, Kia Motors America (KMA) unveiled the Kia KOUP concept during their press conference at the 2008 New York International Auto Show (NYIAS) at Jacob K. Javits Convention Center. Designed at KMA's Irvine, Calif. Design Center, the KOUP concept reflects the brand's "Exciting and Enabling" philosophy with its sharp, balanced proportions and fluid design. First Glance The KOUP has a bold look and aggressive stance with its tab-shaped, purposeful upper grille and high-tech headlamps. Its sleek wedge shape, carbon fiber and black chrome LED lamp lenses, "swoosh" swooping from the "C" pillar to the "A" pillar and around the rear deck lid, "check mark" rocker sill, and prominent wheel flares all come together to give the KOUP a sharp, lowered stance. Tom Kearns, KMA's Chief Designer stated: “The Kia KOUP concept represents the future of the Kia brand and its dynamic vehicles that speak to our core philosophies. Kia strives to appeal to the emotional side of car enthusiasts who seek adventure and want to take a leap into the future with style and advanced technology, and the KOUP effectively delivers.”
