Kia Multi-S Concept

Kia Motors America (KMA) unveiled its Multi-S concept vehicle for the first time in North America at the 2006 Chicago Auto Show. Aimed to suit individuals seeking a car with character and young families with active children, the Multi-S is designed to embody elements of crossover vehicles and upscale leisure SUVs. The "S" in Multi-S stands for Sporty, Spacious and Smart, cohesively defining the concept. "Like the Soul concept we recently unveiled at the Detroit Auto Show, the Multi-S is further proof of Kia's evolution in design," said Len Hunt, executive vice president and COO of KMA. "The Multi-S has technologically advanced features and a balanced interior styling, resonating Kia's increased quality." Sporty, Spacious and Smart The Multi-S harmonizes crossover design with polished exterior lines and softer details to downplay its capabilities as a utility vehicle. The combination accents young families who need safety, convenience, and comfort, while wanting an upscale look and a refined interior. Sporty The Multi-S is equipped with a 2.4-liter, four-cylinder gasoline engine coupled with a five-speed automatic transmission and manual shift mode, offering a responsive ride. Its athletic posture is detailed with 19-inch alloy wheels and slotted disc brakes, tucked neatly into curvaceous fender flares.
