Kia has made a big leap forward with their European-designed, European-engineered, and European-made cee'd family. This includes the five-door cee'd, three-door pro_cee'd, cee'd Sportswagon, sporty cee'd GT, and pro_cee'd GT. There are modified chassis, new powertrains, improved fuel consumption and emissions, stylish new trim, plus more electronic driver assistance features and connected car services.
The cee'd family is set to arrive in UK dealerships on October 1, 2015, with prices starting from £14,905, £15,250, and £16,750, respectively. The pro_cee'd GT is priced at £23,105, while the cee'd GT is priced at £23,605.
New EcoTurbo Petrol and CRDi Diesel Engines
The cee'd family features Kia's advanced EcoTurbo petrol engine and a new 1.6-litre CRDi diesel engine with a seven-speed double-clutch (7-DCT) automatic gearbox as just some of their features. The EcoTurbo engine, which was unveiled at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show, is a 998cc three-cylinder engine with direct fuel injection and turbocharging, and is designed to use 10 to 15% less fuel than the 1.4-litre multi-point injection or 1.6-litre GDi units! Depending on the model, drivers can expect improved fuel economy of up to 57.6mpg, and lower CO2 emissions at 113g/km.
