Kia Soulster Concept

Kia Motors America (KMA) has come to the 2009 North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) in Detroit to showcase the Kia Soulster open-air concept. It is based on the Kia Soul, which was recently introduced at the 2008 Los Angeles Auto Show. This model is tailored to young buyers looking for an efficient and cost-effective vehicle. "Kia Soulster offers a unique and appealing convertible option for busy, active people who love to have a good time," said Tom Kearns, chief designer of KMA. "It has a special design and provides various functionalities that can fulfill the needs of different consumers." Stylin' Soul'r Yellow Design The two-door Kia Soulster has a sporty feeling and is finished in Soul'r yellow color. Its design takes inspiration from a fighter jet, featuring metal screw borders all around its body. To create a more hunkered down look, the windshield has been shortened. It also has a two-piece top, so passengers can open the front and the back separately. The roll bar provides a secure feeling and doubles as a space to store the slider tracks. Kia Soulster has a stylish and sturdy character, with an anodized skid-pad insert that matches the fender vents, roll bar header, and wheels.
