Kia's exciting new ex_cee'd cabrio concept car will be revealed at the 77th Salon de l'Automobiles in Geneva, Switzerland on 6 March. Created by Kia's Chief Design Officer Peter Schreyer, the concept hints at the future style of Kia vehicles.
The design is based on the three-door cee'd hatchback, but features completely redesigned exterior panels and an electronically folding fabric roof. Schreyer aimed to make a classic cabrio look with a traditional soft-top – which he believes will enjoy a revival.
With its slight wedge shape profile, 19-inch alloy wheels, and stylish nose, the ex_cee'd has a distinct design among the cabrio crowd. It is painted meringue white with a bitter chocolate roof fabric and two-tone leather interior.
"Kia has once again shown its youthful and stylish brand, marking a step in the transformation into a European company with Korean roots," said Kia Senior Executive Vice President and COO Yong-Hwan Kim.
