Kia eco ceed Concept
Kia is showcasing two new eco-performance concept cars that are a development of the previously-displayed Kia pro_cee'd and cee'd five-door hatchback models at the Geneva show. The eco_cee'd concepts aim to deliver a spirited and entertaining drive while having improved fuel consumption and decreased emissions. Many of the features featured on the concepts will be incorporated into cee'd production models commencing December 2008.
The eco_cee'd cars offer impressive performance, fuel economy and emissions figures due to several modifications, such as reduced fuel consumption at 3.9 litres/100km and C02 emissions of 104g/km for pro_cee'd and 106g/km for the cee'd five-door, a 17% reduction.
Paul Willis, COO of Kia Motors Europe, expressed the company's vision for the future, affirming that the transfer of green-performance eco_cee'd features into production models "demonstrates Kia's commitment to creating environmentally friendly models without compromising on customer expectations for fun-to-drive cars."
