The company was created in 1985. In 1988, it started to produce its supercharger performance systems.
In 2002, Kleemann E 55K set the world’s speed record for four-door cars (338 km/h). In a year, ML 55K became the fastest SUV in the world with the maximum speed of 282 km/h.
Kleemann was the first company, which combined a supercharger, an intake manifold and an intercooler into a single unit, called Kleemann Kompressor. Recently, the company started to produce performance supercharging systems for Audi, BMW and Porsche.
