Lamborghini Diablo VT 1993 posters

Lamborghini Diablo VT

The Lamborghini Diablo VT was the first-ever Lamborghini super sports car to be offered in a four-wheel drive version. It debuted in 1990 with a 5.7-liter 12-cylinder engine, later increased to 6.0 liters, giving it a maximum power output of nearly 600 HP in its road versions and 655 HP in the GT1 Stradale model for the racetrack, of which only two were ever made. At the end of 2022, when the last Aventador Ultimae is made, the "pure" V12 combustion engine will go out of production and the Aventador's heir will be fitted with a new plug-in hybrid version of the V12 engine.

The Diablo is one of the most iconic Lamborghini models, remembered not only for its amazing performance and driving experience, but also for ushering in the modern era of Automobili Lamborghini. With intense development work to make it appear sporty and muscular yet appealing with its aesthetics, and with the help of former Rally champion Sandro Munari, it more than delivered. After 11 years in production and 2,903 units made, the Diablo was an undisputed commercial success.
