Lamborghini Espada

The Lamborghini Espada is a 12-cylinder powered grand tourer that is renowned for its iconic design, technical innovation, big size, and superior comfort. Introduced in 1968 at the Geneva Motor Show, the Espada 400 GT offered space for four passengers and luggage, plus lavish interior features like leather seating, air conditioning, and even power steering (from 1969) - all while maintaining its impressive speed. In 1974, an automated transmission model was introduced. The "pure" V12 engine of this model will cease production by the end of 2022 when the last Aventador Ultimae is made. Starting next year, the model that will succeed the Aventador will be equipped with a new version of the V12 engine which is a plug-in hybrid. Ferruccio Lamborghini aimed to produce the fastest, most luxurious and comfortable grand tourer, and the Espada 400 GT project achieved just that. With incredible technical innovation and stylish design, the Lamborghini Espada remains a hallmark of Lamborghini's legacy.
