Lamborghini Gallardo LP560-4 Super Trofeo
In 2009, Automobili Lamborghini rolled out its first one-make race series: the Lamborghini Blancpain Super Trofeo. The star of that series is none other than the Lamborghini Gallardo LP560-4 Super Trofeo, a sports machine with 419 kW (570 hp), a reworked chassis and a reduced weight. Boasting to be the fastest one-make series in the entire motorsport world, the Super Trofeo also makes its vehicles stand out with its all-wheel drive system.
Between May and October of that same year, the Super Trofeo raced on 18 circuits across Europe, including Silverstone, Adria Raceway, Norisring, Spa, Barcelona, and Monza. 30 cars were built for the series and put up for sale for individual enthusiasts and Lamborghini dealer teams. Meanwhile, the factory launched its own entry and invited well-known guest drivers to helm the machine. On the side lines of the races, guests were also treated with a Super Trofeo Village set up.
