Lamborghini Miura Roadster

The historic Lamborghini Miura P400 Roadster, which inspired the V12 Aventador, made its debut at the Carrozzeria Bertone stand at the Brussels Motor Show in April 1968. This one-of-a-kind show car was a unique creation; its low roofline, large intakes, and windscreen gave it its sharp, distinctive look. It was painted in an eye-catching Lamè Sky Blue Acrilico with a white Pelle interior and red carpeting. Despite a warm welcome, this Lamborghini never made it into production. After a test drive in Sant'Agata and a stop at the Geneva Motor Show, the Roadster was sold to the International Lead and Zinc Research Organization (ILZRO). Its new owners replaced the car's various parts with several lead and zinc components and painted it olive green with a green interior, renaming it ZN 75. It then spent the next few years as a promotional piece, demonstrating the rust-protective properties of zinc, currently considered an essential part of car production. The ZN 75 travelled around the world with different owners before it was returned, in 2008, to its original Roadster configuration. It was completely restored and made an appearance at the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance, where it completed second in the Lamborghini class.
