Lamborghini Diablo SVR

The Lamborghini Diablo ("Devil" in English) was a high-performance supercar produced by Lamborghini of Italy between 1990 and 2001. It was introduced for sale on January 21, 1991 with a base price of USD $240,000. Diablo, 1990-1998 Power for the Diablo came from a 5.7 litre, 48 valve version of the Lamborghini V12 with dual overhead cams and computer-controlled multi-point fuel injection, offering 492 horsepower (367 kW) and 427 foot-pounds (579 N·m) of torque. Performance was great, with the car hitting 60 mph in just over 4 seconds and a top speed of 202 miles per hour (325 km/h). The V12 was mid-mounted to aid weight balance, and the car was rear wheel drive. Inside, the vehicle had basic radio functions (optional CD playback) and manual windows, with adjustable but unpowered seats and no antilock brakes as part of Lamborghini's effort to keep the car's weight down. Optional extras included a driver's seat molded to the buyer's body, a rear wing spoiler, a factory fitted luggage set (priced at $2,600) and an exclusive Breguet clock for the dash (priced at $10,500). Diablo VT (Ver. 1), 1993-1998 and Diablo VT Roadster (Ver. 1), 1995-1998 In 1993, Lamborghini introduced an even more specialized version of the Diablo: the Diablo VT (Ver. 1). This built on the original car's features with a viscous-coupling type all-wheel-drive system, improved power steering, resized front wheels and tires, four-piston Brembo brake calipers, a new dashboard design and an advanced computerized suspension system with Koni shock absorbers. This computerized suspension system could be left in "auto" mode or manually adjusted with the driver selecting from four different "modes". The car still lacked ABS brakes.
