Lancia 2000 Coupe

The Lancia Flavia was a car that was developed by Professor Fessia in the late 1950s, and was released for sale in 1961. It was a four-door saloon initially, featuring a 1.5L aluminium boxer engine. It was soon accompanied by a two-door coupé designed by Pininfarina, which was built on a shortened platform. Moreover, a two-door convertible was produced by Vignale, and a unique two-door sport version was designed by Zagato - this had twin carburetors for improved power output just over 100 hp/ 75kW. The engine was later enlarged to 1.8L, a mechanical injection version using the Kugelfischer system, and a five-speed manual gearbox were introduced. By the end of the sixties, when Fiat took over the company, the Vignale and Zagato variants were discontinued, and the coupé and saloon versions had new bodywork. The engine was enlarged further to 2.0L, and this was available with either carburetor or injection, as well as with a four or five-speed gearbox. The Flavia was later revised and re-named the Lancia 2000 in 1971 or 1972. This version was outfitted with Girling disk brakes (replacing the Flavia 2000's Dunlops) a stainless steel bumper as well as Bosch D-jetronic analog-electrovalve fuel injection for the fuel injected models. These were made until 1973 or 1974 and remained in stock until 1975. The 2000 was made with Pininfarina Coupe and Lancia Sedan bodyworks. Apart from great build and ride quality, the durability of these cars is excellent. Although the parts are rare and therefore a bit costly, the meticulous engineering makes maintenance relatively simple. Engines:
