Lancia Phedra 2002 posters

Lancia Phedra

In 2002, the first-generation of eurovans was replaced by a newer model. Although the floorpan, wheelbase and suspension setup remained unchanged, the exterior dimensions and front and rear tracks were increased, particularly length which was boosted by almost 30 cm giving a much greater interior capacity. Additionally, the look was modernised, including a new dashboard with centrally mounted gauges, redesigned front and rear sections with new head- and taillights, and different interior color themes. The Fiat and Lancia eurovans also have a greater width than those from PSA, and the Lancia Phedra is the longest of all eurovans.

Names

Other than the Fiat Ulysse, all the models have been given a new name; the 806 was replaced by 807, and Citroën named theirs's the C8 in line with its other models which use the Cx format. As for Lancia, they opted to name the new minivan the Phedra, taking inspiration from the Greek mythological figure Phaedra.

Engines

This eurovan is offered with different versions of the PSA EW/DW engine and either a 5-speed manual or 4-speed automatic transmission. Additionally, the top-of-the-range versions come with the PSA ES V6. All diesel versions are PSA's HDIs, although they are known as JTDs for Fiat.
