Lancia Ypsilon BKini

Introduced in 2003, the Lancia Ypsilon (Type 843) was designed with a young audience in mind. Over time it proved popular amongst females and soon became the top-selling car of the Lancia range, with an annual production of around 60,000 units. Initially, it was assembled at the Fiat plant in Melfi, moving in June 2005 to the Termini Imerese Palermo plant in Sicily. Its three-door body is just 3.78 meters long, taking influence from the historic Lancia Ardea. At the front, the Ypsilon contains a large chrome grille adorned with the Lancia logo, as well as lighting positioned at the ends of the front arch. Its bumpers feature a protective coating, plus fog lights (in specified models). Along its sides runs a bold rib, with the glazing frames given a chrome-plated finish on certain version. The rear end of the car has vertically-oriented headlamps integrated into the fenders, along with a small tailgate which is framed with chrome. Underneath its sleek exterior lies a shortened version of the B platform - previously seen in the Fiat Punto (188), Fiat Idea and Lancia Musa. A transverse engine is located at the front, driving the front wheels. Suspension is provided by MacPherson struts up front with a stabilizer bar and rear torsion beam; ventilated front disc and rear drum brakes are standard, while Sport MomoDesign specification includes four-disc brakes with stiffened suspension. Anti-wheel drive lock (ABS) with Electronic Brake Distribution (EBD) and an electric power steering system come as standard, with options for combined electronic stability control and traction.
