Land Rover Defender SVX

To celebrate its 60th anniversary, Land Rover has created a special edition of its iconic Defender - the SVX. The first model has been donated to the British Red Cross, to be auctioned at a ball, and proceeds will go towards the charity’s humanitarian work. Special Edition Features The Land Rover Defender SVX is available in both 90 soft-top and 90 station wagon versions. It features metallic black paintwork with contrasting silver badges, tubular side-steps and a bold grille surround with new, clear-lens headlamps. It also has 'diamond turned' five-spoke alloy wheels and an aluminium front undershield. The interior is finished with Recaro front seats, alloy gear knobs, and a new audio system, iPod cradle and Garmin satellite navigation. The two-seat soft-top models also come with a metallic silver tubular cage that supports a tailor-made, removable black fabric hood. To make the SVX even more distinctive, each version is supplied with a numbered plaque e.g. 001. All in all, a total of 200 SVX vehicles will be made available in the UK. Production starts in Spring 2008 and prices will be announced later in the year.
