Land Rover Freelander 2
The Land Rover Freelander 2 model range for 2011 has been updated with a sleek, new design, as well as modifications to the interior, including new instruments and a Premium Pack option. The key addition, however, is a new 2.2-litre turbo diesel engine available in two versions—150PS and 190PS. In addition to increased power, the new engine offers impressive performance with reduced CO2 emissions and fuel consumption.
The Freelander 150PS TD4 manual and automatic models boast the same performance as their predecessors, while the 190PS SD4 can reach 60mph in 8.7 seconds and has a maximum speed of 118mph. Moreover, both versions of the new engine have increased torque compared to the former engine and feature Stop/Start technology. Significantly, the diesel particulate filter is enabled to work with 10 percent biodiesel fuel. To comply with EU5 regulations, the engine has been recalibrated and fitted with a variable geometry turbocharger.
