Land Rover LRX Geneva Concept

A version of Land Rover's LRX cross-coupe concept in a striking black and silver colour palette is set to make its global debut at the 78e Salon International de l'Automobile. This follows the initial white LRX concept that was revealed in January at NAIAS Detroit and was praised by many. Gerry McGovern, Land Rover's design director, commented “With its metallic black paintwork, silver roof and precisely detailed exterior features, the second version of the LRX concept is designed to show how well the vehicle can deliver a contemporary example of personalisation. Clever use of colour and subtle additional details enable the vehicle to be tailored to suit an individual's style, without compromising the clean design of the LRX.” The LRX Geneva concept is not destined for production, yet. The two versions will be used to gain feedback from the public, dealers and media in order to evaluate the concept and the personalisation opportunities that the LRX presents. “We were hugely excited by the positive response that the original LRX concept generated when we showed it at the Detroit Show a few weeks ago,” said Phil Popham, managing director of Land Rover. “But we’ve always seen scope for LRX to provide a whole showroom of different models, with a range of powertrains including hybrids and bio-fuel capable engines.”
