The GS 350 is equipped with a 3.5-liter V6 engine which optimizes low internal friction to provide 303 horsepower at 6,200 rpm and 274 lb.-ft. of peak torque at 3,600 rpm. It also has a direct fuel-injection system and Dual Variable Valve Timing with intelligence (VVT-i) for improved power and fuel efficiency. For driver-enjoyment, a smooth-shifting 6-speed transmission allows manual gear shifting when desired.
The Lexus GS 460's V8 engine is designed to churn out 342 horsepower at 6,400 rpm and 339 lb.-ft. of peak torque at 4,100 rpm. It meets the EPA's Ultra Low Emission Vehicle (ULEV-II) certification and is matched with an impressive 8-speed automatic transmission that provides manual shifting for a more engaging driving experience. The GS 460 can accelerate from zero to 60 mph in 5.4 seconds, with the GS 350 taking 5.7-5.8 seconds (depending on whether it has an AWD or not).
