Lexus LF-Xh Concept

The Lexus LF-Xh concept has been admired by design aficionados at the 2008 Milan Design Week and is now on display at the 2008 Paris Motor Show. It showcases the potential of the Lexus L-finesse design philosophy which encompasses more than vehicle design. Since 2005, Lexus has developed its relationship with the creative world, for example, staging an annual art exhibition at the Milan Design Week and working with esteemed Japanese artists and designers to uncharted ways to express L-finesse. This year's event, "elastic diamond," was a collaboration with innovative design company, nendo, headed by Oki Sato. Wahei Hirai, Design Centre Managing Officer, says: "We formulated the L-finesse philosophy to show the complexity of Japanese culture and values. We did this by not just using automotive design discussions but by joining forces with artists in various creative realms, which resulted in a newLexus design that is unparalleled in terms of depth, continuity, and durability". The processes of collaborating with nendo and Lexus revealed a significance to the diamond features which are produced with advanced technology from a rough diamond into a perfect stone - similarly, Lexus cars combine advanced technology and imagination.
