The all-new third-generation Lexus LX 570 full-size luxury utility vehicle was officially unveiled at the 2007 New York International Auto Show. According to Bob Carter, Lexus Division group vice president and general manager, the luxury vehicle offers more technology, added power, roominess, safety, and both on- and off-road capability when compared to its predecessor, the award-winning LX 470.
Improved Power Performance
Packed with a more powerful 5.7-liter V8 engine - producing 381 horsepower and 400 lb-ft. of torque - and a new six-speed sequential-shift automatic transmission, both electronically managed for optimal performance and fuel-efficiency, the LX 570 offers more capability than ever before. Furthermore, the new chassis and suspension system gives the SUV a towing capacity of 8,500 pounds - up from 6,500 compared to the previous model. The LX 570 is also expected to be certified as ULEV II.
