Lexus RX330 Thundercloud

The Toyota Harrier is a mid-size crossover SUV manufactured by the Toyota Motor Corporation and it is the world's first mid-size crossover SUV. In North American markets, it is sold as the Lexus RX series, such as the RX 300, RX 330 and RX 350. It is based heavily on the Camry platform, which it shares with the Kluger/Highlander. The Harrier was introduced in Japan in 1997 and the RX 300 at the 1998 North American International Auto Show. Soon thereafter, it became Lexus's best-selling model and was one of the first crossover SUVs available. Second generation In February 2003, the second generation Harrier was launched in Japan, featuring a sleeker body style. This newer model had the Lexus GX slotting between it and the Lexus LX, changing its competitors to the BMW X3, Land Rover Freelander and the Infiniti FX35. Both two-wheel and four-wheel drive models came with either a 2.4L or 3.0L V6 gasoline engine, five-speed automatic transmission, and the "AIRS" air-suspension was an option on the 3.0L V6 models. Additionally, a JBL sound system was an available feature. The RX330 for North American and Middle Eastern markets was unveiled at the 2003 North American International Auto Show and the production began at Toyota's Cambridge, Ontario, Canada plant in September 2003. It is powered by a 3.3L 3MZ-FE V6, producing 223 hp SAE and (238 ft·lbf), with both front and four-wheel drive versions available. Furthermore, the Mark Levinson sound-system was an optional feature. As for the RX300 for Europe and Asia markets, it has a similar mechanical specification to the 3.0L V6 Harrier and their four-wheel drive version is the only option. Equipped with air-suspension, it can also come with the Mark Levinson audio. In Japan, the Harrier Hybrid was launched in March 2005. Then, the hybrid Lexus RX 400h was made available in the North American market during the 2006 model year and Europe and Asia followed suit. For 2007, the RX received a mid-cycle refresh, consisting of a new 2GR-FE 3.5L V6 in place of the 3MZ-FE 3.3L V6 engine and changing the vehicle name from RX 330 to RX 350. It also gained a new DVD navigation system with voice controlled destination inputs and a new "bread crumbs" function that allows drivers to retrace their path.
