The Lotus Exige Race 380 is the track-only version of the beloved Exige Sport 380. The Race 380 was designed by Lotus, utilizing their skills in vehicle and motorsport engineering, this new race car seeks to redefine the future of motorsport. Available in May 2017, this model features competition-focused components, such as modified gearbox, suspension, aerodynamics and electrical systems. In spite of being race-focused, many of the original Exige Sport 380's components are retained, showcasing Lotus' advanced development process.
The Exige Sport 380, released in 2016, has since become one of Lotus' best selling models. After only four months, many orders have already been placed. Jean-Marc Gales, CEO of Group Lotus plc, announced that the Race 380 has an "unsurpassed power to weight ratio in its class", and manages a “phenomenal 1.5-second gain” when lapping at Hethel. The Exige Race 380 truly follows the legacy of Colin Chapman, and promises to be an unparalleled race car.
