Mansory Renovatio
Fresh from its redesign, the Mercedes Benz SLR McLaren from McLaren, has been given new life by MANSORY, the renowned specialist in customizing super sports cars and luxury limousines. Unveiled at the Auto Salon 2008 in Geneva, the gull wing racer not only has impressive bodywork, but also an upgraded engine with advanced supercharging technology by MANSORY. To create a perfect balance between weight and performance, the car's body components were composed from lightweight yet durable carbon material, so as to reduce drag and provide additional cooling air to the custom intercoolers. With ultra-light forged wheels and a superlative automotive interior, the all-round renovation of the SLR McLaren is finally complete.
New components for impressive performance boost
The 5.5-litre V8 engine with 626 hp was also redesigned to include high-performance compressors, customized intercoolers, a sports air filter, as well as modified engine management. Thanks to these improved enhancements, the Renovatio has achieved a 0-100 kph time of two-tenths faster than the production model, and houses 700 PS and 880 Nm torque on the crankshaft, enabling a maximum speed of 340 kph.
