Maserati Quattroporte Neiman Marcus

Maserati, renowned for its high performance and stylish design, proved true to its heritage after selling out all 60 Neiman Marcus Limited-Edition 2005 Quattroporte luxury sedans in just 36 minutes on October 14, 2004. Such an impressive result was not unexpected as the Quattroporte had a waiting list of 18 months prior to being offered by Maserati dealers. Its 400-HP V8 engine can propel from 0-60 mph in 5.1 seconds with a top speed of 170 mph, and is the only luxury sedan in its class to place the engine behind the front axle. Maserati North America, Inc., based in Englewood, N.J., and fully-owned by Ferrari, announced its collaboration with Neiman Marcus for this exclusive offering. The NM® Quattroporte was put together by Sergio Pininfarina and Frank Stephenson, Ferrari Maserati Group's Director of Concept Design. Each one sold has a Bordeaux Pontevecchio metallic paint with a chrome-mesh front grill, side vents and 19" polished wheels. The interior showcases luxurious ivory Poltrona Frau leather accompanied by bordeaux piping and mahogany wood accents. All cars bear the signature of the designer alongside each owner's name, on an individually numbered nameplate, and are priced at $125,000 each. Maurizio Parlato, president and CEO of Ferrari Maserati North America, expressed his satisfaction about the high demand for the NM® Quattroporte. "We are extremely pleased with the response of the NM® Quattroporte," said Parlato. "We felt confident the car would be well received, but the overwhelming demand emphasizes the bond between the Neiman Marcus customer and the Maserati driver."
