Mazda 323F
The Mazda 323/323F series is made available in two unique body styles - 5-door hatchback and 4-door sedan. Each type offers seating for five people with ample luggage space in the back. All of these cars are front-wheel-drive with a transversely-mounted powertrain plus an all-independent suspension. This platform has an extended wheelbase size of 2,610 mm along with wider track measurements of 1,470 mm.
The new 323/323F has a totally new design. The 5-door hatchback is 4,200 mm long, 1,705 mm wide, and 1,410 mm tall; it is 40 mm shorter and 65 mm taller in comparison with the preceding model. Passengers and luggage can easily fit inside, and the rear seat's hip-point has been raised by 53 mm (89 mm when the rear seat slides). As for the 4-door sedan, it has been reduced to 4,315 mm for an easier driving experience, yet has the same passenger room and cargo capacity of the dominant car in its class.
The 323/323F series features four power plants; three of them are gasoline powered (2 dual-overhead-camshaft 16-valve and 1 single-overhead-camshaft 16-valve) while the other is a swirl-chamber diesel. All engines have been modified and improved for a better performance.
