Mazda Demio

The Mazda DEMIO is a great choice for vehicle owners as a 5-door compact model of the B-segment class. It has surpassed the regular boundaries of what is usually expected from a compact car, on account of its amazing combination of space utility, practicality, and versatility. When it comes to measurements, the Mazda DEMIO is 3,808 mm long, 1,670 mm wide (1,650 mm without side protector mouldings), and 1,535 mm high (1,500 mm without roof rails). In order to create a spacious interior, a compact powertrain and a square-shaped design were put to use. Inside, the seating makes for optimal comfort: 1,022 mm of head room in the front seats, 1,034 mm (997mm in right-hand-drive models) of leg room, and 1,312 mm of shoulder room. Meanwhile, the back seats measure 980 mm for head room, 894 mm for leg room (when the rear seat slide is in its default position), and 1,300 mm of shoulder room. (Likewise, models with sunroofs have 990 mm for front headroom and 922 mm for rear headroom.) Additionally, the shape of the seats and Multi-Function Rear Seats allow users to adjust the seating to their desired needs. The powertrain of the Mazda DEMIO is a type B3 1.3-litre, 16-valve, water-cooled, inline 4-cylinder engine, with Multi-Port Fuel Injection. This engine offers two different power outputs: 53 kW /5,500 rpm (EEC) and a maximum torque of 105 Nrn/3,500 rpm (EEC) on the one hand, and 46 kW/5,000 rpm (EEC) and 103 Nrm/3,000 rpm (EEC) on the other. For the transmission, the Mazda DEMIO comes with a F25-R 5-speed manual gearbox with optimal ratios for performance and fuel economy combined. When it comes to suspension, the Mazda DEMIO has MacPherson struts up front and a torsion beam axle on its rear for a real driving experience. The power assisted rack-and-pinion steering wheel has a minimum turning circle of 9.4 m (kerb to kerb), while the BRAKING SYSTEM includes ventilated disc brakes on the front wheels and leading trailing drums on the rear, accompanied by a vacuum servo assist for a better grip. Optional 4W-ABS is also available. The Demio comes with standard 165/70R13 79T tyre and 13 x 4.5J steel wheel with full wheel cap (an alloy wheel version is also available as an optional upgrade). Furthermore, the monocoque structure of the body has been made more rigid and secure through reinforced frames and members, increasing safety. Finally, the addition of the extra protective features, such as crushable zones and side impact bars, and the SRS airbag (standard driver-side, optional passenger-side) improve the comfort and safety within the car tremendously.
