Mazda Kiyora Concept 2008 posters

Mazda Kiyora Concept

Mazda announced the Sustainable Zoom-Zoom plan in 2008, indicating their commitment to making cars that provide a balance between driving pleasure and environmental and safety performance. The Mazda Kiyora Concept demonstrates how Mazda plans to achieve a significant improvement of 30 percent in fuel economy and introduce new vehicles that are attractive both to look at and to drive. It is also highly fuel-efficient and has a low CO 2 footprint, delivering the signature Zoom-Zoom experience with high levels of safety. This is achieved through a rigid and lightweight carbon-fibre body structure and a 1.3-litre direct-injection engine, as well a Smart Idle Stop System (SISS) and a newly developed six-speed automatic transmission. CO 2 emissions of the Kiyora are under 90g/km. The design of the concept follows three themes: cleanliness, health and safety. These are especially pertinent for young city dwellers. The car is also named Kiyora (meaning 'clean and pure' in Japanese) to reflect its sustainable technology vision, and the features and colours were designed to evoke patterns of low-moving water. Mazda Kiyora demonstrates Mazda's commitment to creating vehicles that are both green and enjoyable to drive.
