The Mazda Minagi concept car is the embodiment of Mazda's new SkyActiv technologies and KODO design language, showcasing the features that will come with the next generation of Mazda cars. With its world premiere at the 2011 Geneva Motor Show, this concept model features Mazda's cutting-edge SkyActiv technology which is integrated into every aspect such as the powertrain, chassis and body. It is also the second concept vehicle to demonstrate Mazda's KODO design theme of 'Soul of Motion.' While Shinari is a design-focused concept which displays the potential of KODO, Mazda Minagi provides a vision of what is to come in Mazda's next generation of cars. Different from its predecessor, its distinctive, agile design pairs with its compact packaging to exude a powerful, yet dynamic presence. As explained by the designer of Minagi, "I wanted to show something different than the Mazda Shinari. I felt a compact crossover SUV was the perfect vehicle to express agility and focused movement; the flexibility of four limbs moving in unison, and an upright posture."
