Driving assistance
Designed according to Mercedes-Benz concept of 'Touch And Feel' (TAF), the Mercedes-Benz A170 Classic 5door steering wheel has controls for the radio, telephone, and other systems conveniently within reach of the driver's thumbs.A power steering system comes as standard and its behaviour varies with the vehicle's speed.The optional Mercedes COMAND APS navigation system provides directions via SMS, and also doubles as a radio unit with available DVD and telephone functionality.The enhanced shipping of the car comes with a Parktronic system as well as a “Light & Sight” package which includes bi-xenon HID headlamps with gas-discharge bulbs, cornering lights, and a rain sensor that adjusts wiper speed.For safety when entering a tunnel or underground garage, a "tunnel mode" will close all windows and panoramic sliding sunroof.
Temperature control
The temperature control system of the A170 Classic 5door has separate settings for the driver and front passenger sides, and comes with a "Heater Booster System" for quick interior heating.
