Mercedes-Benz has launched a separate model series under the Mercedes CLC, an attractive entry-level model in the Mercedes-Benz coupé family. The Sports Coupé is designed to satisfy young drivers looking for an athletic car that provides not only an engaging driving experience, but also meets Mercedes’ stringent standards with regard to safety, comfort, environmental friendliness, and features. The new CLC boasts more than 1100 newly-developed and improved components which enhance its agility, dynamic navigation system characterised by a colour display, Europe-wide DVD or hard drive navigation and a media interface, as well as a more robust four-cylinder engine developing 135 kW/184 hp. This engine has yielded up to 10.8 percent of fuel savings, compared to the former model.
Featuring elegant yet compact body dimensions and muscular lines, the Mercedes CLC exudes its athletic prowess. Its eye-catching coupé radiator grille, comprising a prominent Mercedes star, and the new projection-beam headlights demonstrate the sports car's modern Mercedes design. To the rear, the revised larger tailgate opens to a boot with a storage capacity of 1100 litres. The newly designed tail lights, LED third brake light and the bumper divide the rear end to highlight the width.
