Mercedes-Benz E350 Estate
The Mercedes-Benz E-Class is the best-selling model worldwide from the Mercedes-Benz brand of DaimlerChrysler. It is well known for its executive and luxury designs. The E-Class first made an appearance in the 1950s, denoting its name from Einspritzung which stands for fuel injection - a new feature at the time. The model also features both six and eight-cylinder petrol and diesel engines.
The W211-based E-Class went in to production in 2003, replacing the W210 E-Class models. It marked a push upwards for the E Class line, with other model lines such as the W219 CLS-Class included from 2005. Mercedes even gave the W211 a facelift for 2007 - introducing the Pre-Safe system and Neck-Pro safety headrests to the sedan and wagon models. Additionally, the 'Intelligent Light System' was introduced to give the car an edge with its five lighting combinations.
2006 saw the introduction of the "Bluetec" Diesel system to the E-Class; the E320 Bluetec made use of urea to clean diesel emissions and was 45-state legal in the United States. Moreover, the North American E500 was replaced by the E550 and the E63 AMG joined the model line.
