Since 1979, the Mercedes-Benz G-Class has been the ultimate all-terrain vehicle. It has won the Paris-Dakar Rally, is worthy of transporting the Pope, and serves as a symbol of automotive design excellence. It is also the inspiration behind the four model series of the Mercedes-Benz SUV family. For 29 years, the Mercedes-Benz G-Class has been in production - making it the longest-standing passenger car model from Mercedes-Benz since 1886. And its legacy only continues to grow with its ongoing improvements and upgrades.
Visually, the new G-Class has a restyled, three-fin radiator grille, and the G 500 also features new 18-inch alloy wheels. There are three body variants (short-wheelbase Station Wagon, long-wheelbase Station Wagon, and Cabriolet) that are powered by either a fuel-efficient V6 CDI engine producing 224 hp and 540 newton metres, or a new 5.5-litre V8 petrol engine producing 388 hp and 530 newton metres of torque. This powerful engine accelerates the Mercedes-Benz G-Class to 0-100 km/h in just 5.9 seconds.
