MG 6
The MG6 is a five-seat fastback with a sporty style to express the MG brand to a larger audience. This new model is the first all-new MG car since the launch of the iconic MG F sports car. MG Motor UK Sales and Marketing Director Guy Jones stated, “This is a defining moment for the celebrated MG brand and the U.K. automotive industry. We are now able to introduce a fresh vehicle engineered here in the U.K. for the global automotive sector.”
MG6 was first launched at the 2009 Guangzhou Auto Show in China — the beginning of an exciting new international era for MG. Following this, Chinese sales kick off in January 2020, and plans for the U.K. and other markets will be announced during the same year. Manufacturing of the MG6 for the Chinese market will begin in December 2019 at the cutting-edge factory in Lingang, China. Simultaneously, production of MG6 is planned for the Birmingham plant in the U.K., hoping to be operational before the end of 2020.
