MG TF Cool Blue SE

In 2002 the MGF underwent a facelift and was rebadged the MG TF. The most notable changes were the abandonment of Hydragas suspension in favour of conventional coil springs, increased engine power, and improved torsional stiffness. Additionally, there were cosmetic changes like redesigned grille, headlights, bumpers, air-intake grills, and rear boot. The MG TF was the first car of its class to be awarded a 4-star safety rating from EURONCAP, and it established itself as a popular affordable sports car. However, production was suspended in 2005 when MG Rover closed its doors. Nanjing Automobile Group, which purchased MG Rover's assets during bankruptcy proceedings, announced plans to resume production in both Longbridge and Ardmore, Oklahoma, for the first time making the MG TF available to U.S. buyers. With MG Rover unable to continue using their 25 and 75 models, PricewaterhouseCoopers determined that the MG TF was the company's most valuable remaining asset.
