Mini Concept Frankfurt

The MINI Concept Frankfurt made its debut at the 2005 Frankfurt Motor Show in celebration of the 45th anniversary of the 1960 Mini Traveller. The concept car reinterprets the Mini Traveller's "Travelling in Style" philosophy with modern solutions designed to suit the beginning of the 21st century. This car offers numerous design features that have become iconic, such as wide-opening doors with parallelogram kinematics, a new silver metallic paint and exquisite materials in the interior, and a split rear double-door and side windows. The MINI Concept Frankfurt's exterior radiates class, muscle and elegance; it places emphasis on important features such as the wheel arches, shoulder line and powerdome. This design was applied with the aim of making the loading and entering the car as simple and convenient as possible. The four doors each have parallelogram kinematic joints and springs that, when opened, open wide and to the front, giving plenty of room to board the car. The rear windows open electrically, sliding parallel beneath one another. Thanks to its long wheelbase, the two rear seats are also easy to access. The MINI Concept Frankfurt is a wonderful example of the clever MINI style that has endured since the 1960s.
