Mini Cooper S Convertible

MINI is the name of the subsidiary of BMW and the car produced by them since 2001. It is a retro redesign of the classic Mini which was available from 1959 to 2000. MINI is written in capital letters to distinguish it from its predecessor. The MINI is manufactured in Cowley, Oxford, United Kingdom, which used to be the Morris car plant. Models The MINI is available in seven models such as the MINI One D, the MINI One, the MINI One Convertible, the MINI Cooper, the MINI Cooper S, the MINI Cooper Convertible and the MINI Cooper S Convertible. In Portugal, the MINI One uses the 1.4 l version of the Tritec engine while all others carry the 1.6 l version. A soft-top convertible option has been available across the whole range since 2004. The various models have different styling and badging. For instance, the Cooper S is equipped with a distinctive scoop cut into the bonnet to offer airflow over the intercooler plus twin exhausts exiting from the center of the rear valance. The Cooper has more chrome parts and one exhaust. The MINI One/D does not possess any visible exhaust pipes. In places like Australia and the US, the MINI One consider as insufficient power to run an air conditioning, so just the Cooper and Cooper S are sold. The engine of the 'One' vs the 'Cooper' models is just a software change within the engine control unit; tuned for fuel efficiency for One and power and economy for Cooper. Around half of the total MINIs sold in Australia are Cooper S models and about seventy percent in the US.
