Mini Cooper S Convertible

MINI is a car brand that has been under the BMW group since 2001. The car was initially designed as a "retro" version of the classic Mini from 1959 to 2000. It is generally known as 'The BMW MINI', 'The New MINI', or simply 'MINI'. MINI cars are manufactured in Cowley, Oxford, United Kingdom, which used to be the Morris car plant. Models The MINI comes in seven models: the MINI One D, the MINI One, the MINI One Convertible, the MINI Cooper, the MINI Cooper S, the MINI Cooper Convertible and the MINI Cooper S Convertible. All vehicles except the One D have the same 1.6 litre Tritec engine. Additionally, there is also a soft-top convertible option that is available across the entirety of the range. The main difference between the models is seen in the various styling and badging elements. The Cooper S, for example, has a bonnet scoop for the intercooler with twin exhausts that exit under the center of the rear valance. The Cooper has more chrome parts than the MINI One and one single exhaust. The MINI One/D has no visible exhaust pipes at all. In some countries, such as Australia and the U.S., only the Cooper and Cooper S models are sold because the MINI One's engine was deemed to lack power for air conditioners - an important feature in those climates. However, the main distinction between the One and the other models is only a software change within the engine control unit. It is estimated that almost 50% of MINIs sold in Australia and 70% of those sold in the US are the Cooper S version.
