Mini Cooper S John Cooper Works with Aerodynamic Kit

MINI is a car produced by the BMW subsidiary since 2001, and which is marketed as a "retro" redesign of the original Mini. To differentiate it from its predecessor, it is known as the BMW MINI, the New MINI, or simply MINI. The MINI is manufactured in Cowley, Oxford, United Kingdom, at the formerly Morris car plant. Models The MINI comes in seven models: the MINI One D, MINI One, MINI One Convertible, MINI Cooper, MINI Cooper S, MINI Cooper Convertible, and MINI Cooper S Convertible. In Portugal, the MINI One is powered by a 1.4 l Tritec engine, while all other gasoline-powered MINIs use a 1.6 l version. The range also includes a soft-top convertible option available since 2004. The models have different styling and badging, including the Cooper S which has a scoop on the bonnet for airflow over the top mounted intercooler, and dual-exit exhausts. The Cooper has more chrome than the One and a single exhaust, while the One/D has none visible. In some markets, such as Australia and the US, only the Cooper and Cooper S are sold since the MINI One's engine is not powerful enough to run an air conditioner. The difference between the 'One' and the 'Cooper' engines is a software change tuned for optimum fuel economy for the former and compromise of power and economy for the latter. The Cooper S model is the most popular in the US and Australia.
