Mini One
The unveiling of the new MINI One and MINI Cooper D models at the International Geneva Motor Show on 8 March 2007 completes the new MINI hatch line-up. The One offers a 1.4-litre, 95hp petrol engine, whereas the Cooper D offer sporty performance and fuel efficiency from an all-new 1.6-litre, 110hp turbodiesel engine. This Cooper-badged MINI diesel is expected to be the most fuel-efficient and cleanest MINI ever built, with a combined fuel consumption of 64.2mpg and a CO2 figure of 118 g/km, falling into tax band B.
The new MINI One also boasts a significant improvement in both fuel consumption and emissions. With a 1.4-litre engine, it is capable of 49.6mpg and a CO2 figure of 138g/km - significantly higher than 41.5mpg and a 164g/km CO2 figure of its predecessor.
Both models come with the new MINI Cooper and Cooper S body shape, enhanced interior quality, and unique design features. The MINI One will retail at £11,595 and the MINI Cooper D will cost £14,190, and they will be available in April 2007.
