Mitsubishi Concept-CT

MMNA unveiled the Concept-CT at the North American International Auto Show, a revolutionary concept for a hybrid-powered small car which could shape the production of future Mitsubishi vehicles. Designed by the Mitsubishi Motors Design Center in Cypress, Calif., the ultra-compact four-door hatchback blends practicality, an exciting drive, and fuel economy. The secret to its copious interior packaging, performance, and fuel efficiency is the MIEV (Mitsubishi In-wheel Electric Vehicle) hybrid powertrain, which has an electric motor for each wheel. MMNA President and CEO Rich Gilligan commented that the Concept-CT is a landmark vehicle that demonstrates the full capacity of the Mitsubishi 'Driven to Thrill' concept with enhanced fuel economy and eco-friendliness. "We are carefully assessing the potential of this advanced concept car," he added. Mitsubishi Signature Design with an accent on the future features clean, vibrant lines, similar to the Concept X from the 2005 Tokyo Motor Show, inferring a more relaxed performance persona. This was inspired by the nimble high-speed scooters which are becoming progressively more popular in the United States.
