Mitsubishi Eclipse Spyder GT
For 2009, Mitsubishi gave the Mitsubishi Eclipse Spyder's exterior a facelift with the addition of a restyled front and rear bumper. The GT model also features significant enhancements--a new dual exhaust system which boosts horsepower to 265, standard HID head lamps, and standard Active Stability Control. The GS model is powered by a 162-hp 2.4-liter 4-cylinder engine mated to either a 5-speed manual transmission or an optional 4-speed automatic. The GT is powered by a 265 hp 3.8-liter V-6 mated to 6-speed manual transmission or optional 5-speed automatic. Both engines come equipped with Mitsubishi's Innovative Valve Timing Electronic Control (MIVEC). For improved ride and handling, Eclipse Spyder features a rigid platform and 4-wheel independent suspension, and the GT model features 18-inch alloy wheels. The automatic cloth top takes only 19 seconds to fold out of sight, and the generous interior can be upgraded with the optional Deluxe Leather package. The Eclipse Spyder also comes with a standard 650-watt Rockford-Fosgate premium audio system with AM/FM/CD/MP3 playback capability, a 6-disc in-dash CD changer, and a 6-month pre-paid subscription to SIRIUS® Satellite Radio.
