Mitsubishi Lancer Sportback LS

The Mitsubishi Lancer is an eighth-generation car released at the brink of the millennium, and today it's available in sedan and station wagon forms. In North America, it underwent facelifts in the 2004, 2005, and 2006 model years and in 2004, the front facia was changed to reflect the Mitsubishi corporate look. Some markets in Europe instead opted for the Carisma, a Dutch-built car that was close in size to the Lancer. In Pakistan and Japan, the Mirage was released and became a different car than the Lancer. In North America, two additional models to the Lancer line were released in 2004: the Lancer Cedia station wagon, known in the US as the Lancer Sportback, and the Lancer Ralliart, a high level equipment package for the sedan. In Australia, it was released with the 2.0L 4G94 engine in ES, LS, and VR-X trim levels and in August 2005, all Lancers were upgraded to the 2.4L 'MIVEC' engine. In Europe, the Lancer is powered by a 1.3l SOHC 4G13, 1.6l SOHC 4G18 engine and a 2.0l DOHC 4G63 engine. The Lancer wagon is still exclusively sold in Canada and Australia.
