The 2007 Mitsubishi Outlander Urban brings innovation and thrilling dynamics to the compact SUV segment. This second-generation model is powered by a 3.0-liter 220 hp aluminum MIVEC V-6 engine, which is complemented by a six-speed Sportronic(R) automatic transmission featuring magnesium steering wheel paddle shifters on XLS models. Additionally, the Outlander Urban is the first PZEV V-6 SUV available in the U.S. There are three trim levels available: ES, LS, and XLS. Each trim comes standard with front-wheel drive and Active Skid and Traction Control (ASTC), plus the option for an electronically controlled 4-wheel drive system known as All-Wheel Control (AWC). Additionally, 18-inch aluminum-alloy wheels come standard on the XLS model. The exterior of the Outlander Urban features a new Mitsubishi design language with "diamond cut" front end and boldly sculpted fender flares. It also has a sporty interior complete with deeply contoured front bucket seats and an odor-defeating head liner. Finally, this SUV’s five or seven-passenger capabilities are improved by its segment's first flap-fold tailgate for easy loading.
