The all-new, next-generation Mitsubishi Outlander, introduced for the
2007 model year offers a range of user technology found typically in luxury-category, sport-utility vehicles, including several features for the compact SUV segment. The Mitsubishi Outlander offers an optional hard drive navigation system, a 650-watt (max) Rockford-Fosgate® Premium Audio system, SIRIUS® satellite radio with a six-month pre-paid subscription and Bluetooth® wireless technology for hands-free calling. For 2008, all Outlander models can be equipped with a DVD rear seat entertainment system with a nine-inch wide-format LCD screen.
The 2008 Mitsubishi Outlander is available in four different trim levels: ES and Special Edition, and the LS and XLS, which are both powered by a V-6 engine. The FAST (Freehand Advanced Security Transmitter) Key entry system is a standard feature found on the Special Edition and LS models. This system offers passive unlocking and engine start/stop capabilities. Additionally, LS and XLS models also include an MP3/auxiliary input jack as a standard feature, while the LS 4WD version comes with heated exterior mirrors. Furthermore, the FAST Key system is a standard feature on XLS models.
FAST-Key Entry
The Mitsubishi Outlander ES comes with a standard remote keyless entry system, and all models include a standard anti-theft engine immobilizer and security alarm system.
Mitsubishi Outlander SE, LS and XLS models enhance this by featuring the FAST-Key, which allows the driver to remotely unlock the car and the engine with the remote by simply pulling on the handle of one of the front doors or the tailgate.
