The new Mitsubishi Pajero is available in two body types: 7-seater long and 5-seater short, perfect for any customer need or lifestyle. To meet European emissions regulations, a 3.2-liter common-rail direct injection diesel engine is featured in diesel models and a 3.8-liter V6 SOHC MIVEC engine in gasoline models, producing a maximum power output of 250 PS. Both are mated to a 5-speed manual or INVECS-II 5-speed automatic transmission. The new Pajero includes an upgraded electronically-controlled Super Select 4WD-II driveline for superior off-road capabilities and with four drive modes: 2H 2WD mode and three 4WD modes (4H, 4HLc and 4LLc) to match the surface conditions and driving preferences. An Active Traction & Stability Control (ATSC) system was also added to regulate the drive and braking force. The suspensions are fine-tuned with independent double wishbone front and multi-link rear configurations, reducing roll by 25% for better handling and a comfortable ride. Additionally, long body models are fitted with a third row of seats that folds away and a two-tier storage trunk. For entertainment, a Rockford Acoustic Design Premium Sound System™ and a 7-inch LCD display with 30GB hard disk of onboard navigation system are added.
