Nissan 240Z
The Nissan 240Z was the first generation of the Z sporty 2 seater and 2+2 coupes produced by Nissan Motors, Ltd. from 1969 to 1978. Designed by a team led by Mr. Yoshihiko Matsuo, the head of Nissan's Sports Car Styling Studio, the 240Z came with a L20A 2.0 litre straight-6 SOHC engine, a 5-speed manual transmission, and a 4-wheel independent suspension. Its characteristic design and powerful engine made it popular in the United States and was a major success for the Nissan Motor Corporation. It was also raced in the 1970s and catalyzed the import performance parts industry. Nissan released a 1998 program where they restored original 240Zs and sold them for less than $25,000.
