Nissan 350Z

The Nissan 350Z is a coupé and roadster that was released in August 2002 and is the fifth generation of Nissan's Z-car line. It first made its debut in Detroit Motor Show for the following January and was later seen at the Los Angeles Auto Expo. Nissan was not happy with the first design as it was considered to be too "retro", so they went through a redesign and unveiled the Z Concept car at Detroit Motor Show two years later. After further minor redesigns, the 350Z was given the VQ35DE engine. Released in 20 August 2002, it came with five trim packages, such as the Base, Enthusiast, Performance, Touring, and Track editions, ranging from US$26k for the Base to US$34k for the Track model. Shortly after its release, Nissan's performance and motorsport division, Nismo, started producing performance and aesthetic upgrades for the 350Z. In the UK & Europe two versions of the 350Z were released in October 2003 – the Base and GT packs. The GT pack included leather seats, an uprated Bose Stereo system and cruise control, with a price tag of GB£24k for the Base and GB£26.5k for the GT pack. After a year of its release, the NISMO kit was available as an optional extra for new cars only. There was, however, a limitation to the available colors, namely Gunmetal, Kuro, Chilli, Blade & Sunset.
