Nissan 350Z 35th Anniversary
The Nissan 350Z is a stunning coupe and roadster produced by Nissan Motor Company and is the fifth car from the Z-car line. Initially revealed to the public at both the Detroit Motor Show and Los Angeles Auto Show in January 2002, the car was seen as too 'retro' and thus went through a redesign before being reintroduced as the 'Z Concept' with a redesigned front end and the VQ35DE engine, leading to the namesake '350Z'.
Released in August 2002, the 350Z was offered in five trims - Base, Enthusiast, Performance, Touring, and Track Editions, ranging from $26k to $34k. Nissan's performance and motorsport division, Nismo, then began producing performance and aesthetic upgrades for the 350Z shortly following its launch.
In October 2003, Nissan also released two trim versions of the 350Z in the UK and Europe - Base and GT packs, with the latter coming with leather seats, a Bose Stereo and cruise control. Prices in the UK were set at £24k for the Base and £26.5k for the GT edition.
For new cars, NISMO also became available as an optional extra in the UK and select colours such as Gunmetal, Kuro, Chilli, Blade and Sunset were included.
