Nissan Almera Tino 2005 posters

Nissan Almera Tino

Early in 2000, Nissan unveiled their second-generation Almera; which featured sleek, curved lines in contrast to its predecessor, yet its look was deemed bland compared to its rivals. Unbeknownst to many, the Almera was established upon Nissan's fresh MS-Platform, engineered in cooperation with Renault. This platform was adopted by the new-generation Primera and Almera Tino. Much to the delight of drivers, the N16 Almera offered taut handling, increased tyre grip, and superior drive dynamics. Along with its rigid construction and reliable performance, it was one of the best-handling small family cars available -a feat not broken to this day. Unfortunately, the vehicle also suffered from a relatively short wheelbase of 2.53 metres which meant limited legroom for rear passengers. In regards to its power plant, the Almera was equipped with 1.5 and 1.8 Nissan QG engine series petrol engines, and a 2.2 direct injection turbodiesel (YD22DDT) or common-rail turbodiesel (YD22DDTi). Additionally, in 2003, Nissans' venture with Renault resulted in the 1.5 common-rail turbodiesel from the Renault Megane II being available. This update included a range of refinements; a facelift, retuned suspension, modern engines, and an up-to-date interior. All this helped to give the already well-liked Almera the edge over its competitors.
